Rated among the best television presenters of Indian small screen, Ayushmann Khurrana has become a popular face among the youth. His cute looks and dashing appearance has made him a hot favorite among girls and women alike.
Ayushmann was born on 14th September 1984 in Chandigarh, Punjab. His father is a reputed astrologer, his mother a housewife and his brother a radio jockey in Delhi. Ayushmann is married to his childhood love Tahira.
After completing his schooling from St. John’s High School and DAV Public School, he graduated with English Literature as his major subject. An active theatre actor, he has acted in several street plays and won awards for his acting talent.
Ayushmann worked as a radio jockey at a reputed national radio station and even won the Young Achievers Award for it in 2007. He shot to fame when he won the ‘MTV Roadies Season 2’. Thereafter, he hosted several shows like ‘Pepsi MTV Wassup The Voice of Youngistan’, ‘MTV Fully Faltoo Movies’, ‘Fantastic Five’, as well as auditions of ‘MTV Roadies Hell Down Under’ and ‘MTV Rock On’.
After gaining much popularity for his anchoring stints on MTV, the 27-year old anchor moved to hosting shows on other GECs. He hosted ‘India’s Got Talent’, ‘Music Ka Maha Muqqabla’, ‘Super Star Buzz’ and also ‘Extra Innings T20 IPL Season 3’. He was the anchor of ‘Just Dance’, for which he won the ITA Award for Best Anchor of Music/Film Based Show.
He also won the Cosmopolitan Award and the Star Parivaar Award for Best Anchor. The handsome VJ turned actor when he bagged the lead role in John Abraham-produced film ‘Vicky Donor’, opposite TV actress Yami Gautam.
